Jenaan Al-Rahman Ahmed

Jenaan Al-Rahman Ahmed is the Representative of the International Youth Federation (IYF) in Sudan. She brings more than five years of experience across humanitarian action, development cooperation, emergency coordination, protection, programme management and environmental sustainability. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Ahmed has worked across national and international settings, supporting humanitarian operations, multi-stakeholder coordination and community-focused programmes in complex operating environments. Her professional experience includes assignments with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Sudan Vision 2030 and the Sudan Youth Organization on Climate Change. She has also gained international experience with the European University Sports Association in Slovenia.

Prior to assuming her role as IYF Representative in Sudan in July 2026, Ms. Ahmed served as Country Director of the Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) Sudan. Her work has focused on strengthening coordination among partners, supporting effective programme delivery, navigating humanitarian access and operational challenges, and advancing inclusive and conflict-sensitive approaches to development and humanitarian action.

Ms. Ahmed holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ahfad University for Women. Her areas of professional interest include humanitarian coordination, international humanitarian law, protection, monitoring and evaluation, environmental sustainability and youth development.

She is fluent in Arabic and English and has working knowledge of German.
